About Models4U

At Models4U I display my finished scale models, with detailed articles about their construction and customization. My primary focus is on '80s anime mecha such as Zeta/ZZ Gundam, Macross, and Dougram. On this new site I'll be covering some additional genres as well, including my Star Wars works, Battlestar Galactica, figure models, and miscellaneous other science fiction subjects. Check some recent additions below, or visit the Models4U Blog for the latest ravings of a modeling lunatic!

About Models4U

Just who is this Models4U guy? Formerly Pedro of the now defunct Pedro's Shiporama Star Trek site, I'm a father, modeler, drummer, and want-to-be rennaissance man. When I have time (which is not often!) I can be found posting on various modeling forums, including The RPF (as Pedro) and Fichten Foo's forums (as Bawoo). I've been building and collecting science fiction models since 1980 or so, always working to hone my skills and try something new. I have acquired hundreds of kits and at the current rate will complete all my planned projects by the year 2197! I consider modeling to be an art form, and am generally more interested in style and aesthetics than rivet counting and realism, though both have their place in my work. For a time I produced custom decals for Gundam models and a Gundam Hazel resin conversion kit, but with 3 kids and a busy marriage and work life I dedicate my modeling time to personal pursuits these days. But, enough about me...

Trivia tidbit: The name Animation Scale Models4U is taken from the Zeta Gundam era Bandai kits, which all featured this phrase on their super rad boxtops. ;)
